We had an amazing time in Barrie and look forward to the next bout with our friends from QCJRG!

What an amazing night! It was a great game and the two teams were close through the entire bout. Toronto took the win with a final score of 194-136, but the big winners were the fans. What a well played game by both teams!

Thank you to the Ice Ice Babies for making the trip up here and for a great game!

Thanks also go out to the South Simcoe Rebel Rollers for being an incredible host! We had a great time and we appreciate you letting us be part of your Initial Assault!

We are 11 days away from our bout in Barrie at the South Simcoe Rebel Roller’s Initial Assault! We are super excited to play our bout against Buffalo’s Ice Ice Babies Junior Roller Derby!!!

This weekend the Toronto Junior Roller Derby was at their big sister league’s regular season bout featuring the Gore Gore Rollergirls v. The Death Track Dolls and the CN Power v. Buffalo’s Lake Effect Furies. Not only was it an incredible night of derby, it was a great night for these awesome ladies. They sold 50/50 tickets and raised over $300 for the TJRD! The money will be used to help with travel costs for their games both in southern Ontario and over the border.

Great job ladies!

March is here! That means that we are only 3 days away from our big sister league’s next bout! We’ll be there again selling 50/50 tickets for another great cause. You may remember that the TJRD skaters raised over $300 for prostate cancer at the ToRD season opener; this time the proceeds are going to Bullying Canada. For more information about Bullying Canada visit their website at bullyingcanada.ca. We are looking forward to helping this great organization and seeing some amazing derby! See you there!

2012 is here! The TJRD would like to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year! We at the TJRD had a great year overall. We had our ups and our downs but we got up and kept skating through 2011 with everything we have in us! In the end, we had a great season; and to celebrate the amazing time we had in 2011 here is the first part of the slideshow from our 2011 end of season party! The video was compiled but Art Attack-Her’s awesome and talented parents, but due to size issues it has been compressed so we can get it out to you in time to greet 2012!

TJRD would like to congratulate Team Canada for an excellent job taking the silver at the first Roller Derby World Cup! While we’re at it, congratulations to Team USA for the gold, Team England for the bronze, and all of the teams that participated! You have all done an amazing job paving the way for the players of our league and junior leagues all over the world! We love you all and are looking forward for the next World Cup!
