What an amazing skate today! A huge thanks to Paul from Dominion Skates for bringing us some skates to check out and talking to us about their awesome Canadian made skates! Another giant thank you to our guest coaches Slick Rick from My Roll Life and Sloppy Boggins from Stockholm Roller Derby. We had a blast! Thank you so much!

2012 is here! The TJRD would like to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year! We at the TJRD had a great year overall. We had our ups and our downs but we got up and kept skating through 2011 with everything we have in us! In the end, we had a great season; and to celebrate the amazing time we had in 2011 here is the first part of the slideshow from our 2011 end of season party! The video was compiled but Art Attack-Her’s awesome and talented parents, but due to size issues it has been compressed so we can get it out to you in time to greet 2012!

TJRD would like to congratulate Team Canada for an excellent job taking the silver at the first Roller Derby World Cup! While we’re at it, congratulations to Team USA for the gold, Team England for the bronze, and all of the teams that participated! You have all done an amazing job paving the way for the players of our league and junior leagues all over the world! We love you all and are looking forward for the next World Cup!

For those of you that couldn’t make it out to Alliston on Saturday; or those that would like to see some of it again; here is a great jam that shows how good the whole game was.
